If you are an ACCA member, a number of exemptions are available to you, and you only need to study 3 modules to qualify for the MSc in Finance and Accounting.

This module provides students with an understanding of accounting concepts and the application of these concepts to communication, monitoring, and resource allocation. A framework for a thorough comprehension of financial statements and their analysis will be created with the completion of this module.

This module gives students the capacity to understand theories and apply techniques that have been developed in corporate finance to real–world situations. This module will provide graduates with a thorough knowledge of the financing decision, investing decision and managerial decision (the key decision in corporate financial management).

Quantitative Methods for Investment ManagementExpand
Students will review the field of quantitative investment strategies from the perspective of portfolio managers, analysts, and investors. The module blends academic and practical learning with teaching methods that explore the technical aspects of investment management as well as the practical application of methods with real–world case studies and examples.

International Financial Markets and InstitutionsExpand
This module will provide students with an understanding of the structure of various financial markets and familiarise them with major financial institutions such as banks, stock exchanges, and brokers. The module will analyse how the market structures potentially create and mitigate financial risk to market participants and end users.

Performance Measurement and ControlExpand
This module will develop knowledge and skills in the application of management accounting techniques to evaluate business choices and promote efficient and effective use of resources. Students will study strategies to assess the performance of a business from a financial and non-financial perspective, appreciating risk and allowing for external factors.

Advanced Financial ManagementExpand
This module aims to help students apply the relevant skills and exercise professional judgement as expected of a senior financial executive or advisor, in taking or recommending decisions relating to the financial management of an organisation, leveraging on knowledge gained from corporate finance.

Management Research MethodologyExpand
By reviewing this module, students will be provided with a detailed framework and guidance for preparing their Final Project (Dissertation). Concepts such as research processes, types of research, research methodology, and sources of collection and analysis of data will be reviewed.

Final Project (Dissertation)Expand
The aim of the dissertation is to provide the student’s with the ability to carry out detailed research, conduct critical thinking and provide solutions for a specific problem. These skills sets are both useful in academic and commercial context.

Terms & Conditions
Students acknowledge that the Oracle Capital Scholarship can be completed on campus or online. The LSBF ACCA/CIMA+MBA and ACCA/CIMA+MSc programmes and scholarships are only available to students in London, Birmingham and Manchester. Students must pass 11 of ACCA (ie: F1-P2) papers prior to commencing the MBA/MSc course. For the avoidance of doubt students will not be admitted on to the MBA/MSc course where they have failed to pass the above papers.

The LSBF ACCA+MBA and LSBF ACCA+MSc programmes are dual programmes comprising of LSBF ACCA tuition, which is approved by ACCA under the Approved Learning Provider - Gold scheme, and the LSBF MBA/MSc programme which is fully outside the scope of ACCA approval.
